REBECCA JULIANNE KRUGER on July 24, 2024. Beloved daughter of Cindy (née Keleher) and Warren Kruger; Loving sister of Ben Kruger (Sarah Adler) and Sarah Kruger; Devoted granddaughter of Sylvia Schneider. In her 27 years, Rebecca had an immeasurable impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She always had kind words and valuable guidance to share, brightening the lives of everyone she met. A graduate of Temple University, where she studied English, Rebecca could convey emotion through words in a way that was both beautiful and powerful, and was a talented poet. She worked as a barista at Knockbox, a small local coffee shop, where she enjoyed giving back to her West Philly community. She attended Bryn Mawr for a Masters in Social Work degree to become a therapist. Rebecca struggled with mental illness for much of her life and wanted to fix the system and use her own personal experience and incredible insight to help others going through the same struggles. She showed great promise in her brief stint working at an adult day program and as a paralegal at Community Legal Services before losing her own battle. She made the world a better place and her presence will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. sharp at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, Inc., 6410 N. Broad St., Phila., PA. Burial Montefiore Cemetery, with a gathering to follow at the home of Cindy and Warren Kruger.
