RS PURA, July 28: BJP J&K spokesperson and former Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma today addressed a gathering of women and spoke about the achievements of the Prime Minister Modi-led government in empowering women.
She criticised the previous regimes led by North Carolina and Congress for denying women their rights and alleged that women in J&K were given equal rights only after the abrogation of Article 370.
The BJP leader urged women in the area to take full advantage of the schemes introduced by the Modi government.
She appealed to the women to support the BJP in the upcoming elections in J&K.
“Your support is essential to achieving equitable development in our region. By supporting BJP, you will ensure that the progress made in the last decade continues and that women’s issues remain a priority,” said Purnima Sharma.
Rakesh Choudhary, Sangeeta Dogra, Pt. Sunil, district president, Meena Kumari, district president Mahila Morcha, Meeta Sharma, district parbhari, Chand Bapti, Seh Parbhari, Surekha, DDC Arnia, Subhendu, general secretary and Sashi Bala, general secretary were also present in the meeting.
