Ayodhya News: Ram Temple Construction Work Delayed in Ayodhya, Major Reason Revealed

Ayodhya. Construction work has been delayed due to shortage of labourers at the Ram Mandir construction site in Ayodhya. Taking cognisance of the issue, Ram Mandir construction committee chairman Nripendra Mishra has directed the company building the Ram Mandir to immediately hire more labourers to complete the temple’s construction before the December 2024 deadline. The construction work has been gradually slowing down over the past three months. The main reason for this is that half of the 8,000-9,000 workers involved in the construction have quit their jobs. The trust has hired around 100 ‘suppliers’ for various works at the temple. Suppliers have hired labourers for their projects in the construction of the temple. Mishra held several rounds of meetings with L&T and ‘suppliers’. On Monday and Tuesday, ways to resolve the issue of shortage of labourers were discussed.

After attending the meeting, Mishra said, “The biggest challenge is the construction of the spire, which can be completed only after the construction of the second floor and the domes on the second floor are completed. At the current pace, it will be delayed by two months.” He said, “L&T has been instructed to increase the number of employees. Unless 200 to 250 more employees are added, it will be difficult to complete the work by December. The current progress is two months behind schedule.”

He also said that due to the weather conditions, the workers have also left here. Mishra said, ‘L&T is struggling to bring them back. But it is not impossible that the entire work will be completed by December.’

Construction work on the auditorium should be completed in September
Bhawan Nirman Samiti president Nripendra Mishra said that the construction of the auditorium, trust office and rest house for saints has started in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. The Uttar Pradesh State Building Corporation has started the construction work. The Ram Mandir Parishad has also provided land to the building corporation in which the construction of the office has been completed. The construction work of the auditorium will be completed by September. Mishra said that the process of handing over all the minor and major works being completed in the Ram Mandir complex to the trust has also started.
